The two-day workshop will gather together established scholars and young researchers who will discuss on the mutual interplay between violent practices and political cultures since the Unification of Italy. From brigandage in Southern Italy to terrorism in the 1970s and 1980s, the participants will analyse the ways through which violent actions reinforce and influence certain ways of thinking and, in turn, political cultures make such practices conceivable.
