Eighth International Conference of the International Society for First World War Studies, this year dedicated to the theme "Landscapes of War: images, representations, experiences" and organized in collaboration with the University of Padua for the centenary of the Great War, the DISSGEA Department and the Bruno Kessler Foundation in Trento.The conference aims at presenting the physical spaces in which the conflict took place in the various theaters of war, and to identify the ways in which these landscapes were discussed, modified, imagined, experienced, represented and remembered. How men, women, children and old men, generals, soldiers, prisoners, workers and peasants, journalists, artists and teachers, occupied populations, architects and tourists interacted with the landscapes of war?The conference promotes original and innovative research, gathering PhD students and post-doctoral students and academics. Different historical and historic employing different methodological approaches and are from different geographical areas.
