Tuition fees and scholarships

 

The Summer School in Communicating politics. Media, Communication, Activism from the French revolution to the present is open to a maximum of 25 participants, 12 of whom will be awarded a scholarship on a competitive basis. The course is mainly addressed to graduate and post-graduate students, PhD candidates and young researchers having an academic or professional interest in the relationship between media and politics in historical perspective.

Tuition fee

Admitted participants must pay a fee of 80 Euros, which will cover tuition costs, buffet lunches and learning materials handed out during the training.
The fee allows participants to take part in the 6 days of classes (36 hours), from September 19th to September 24th 2016.
Lectures will take place at the Department of Historical and Geographic Sciences and the Ancient World (DiSSGeA) - University of Padova.

Scholarships

A number of scholarships (12 - twelve) will be awarded. Students' selection will be carried out on a competitive basis and participants will be selected on their academic potential, past relevant experiences and personal motivation.
Participants who wish to opt for a scholarship must specify their interest in their letter of motivation or the e-mail message they use to attach all their supporting materials
(Curriculum vitae, Motivation letter). Scholarships cover tuition fees (80 Euros), daily accommodation at University colleges; dinners at University canteens and a lump sum for covering the travel costs from and to the University of Padua (up to a maximum of 100 Euros).

Final certificate

The course is also worth 2 ECTS credits, which will be awarded by the University of Padova. A final certificate of attendance will be awarded to all participants having participated in at least 70% of classes.
