Within the framework of the overall academic calendar, the School of human and social sciences and cultural heritage provides a calendar of teaching activities which includes lesson periods and exam sessions. Dates for degree ceremonies are listed separately.
2025/26
Academic year 2025/26 starts on October 1st, 2025
Lessons start on September 29th, 2025
The University is closed on the Italian Public holidays and on the following dates:
- All Saints' Day: November 1st, 2025
- Feast of the Immaculate Conception: December 8th, 2025
- Christmas holidays: December 24th, 2025 to January 6th, 2026
- Easter holidays: April 3rd, 2026 to April 7th, 2026
- Liberation Day: April 25th, 2026
- Labour Day: May 1st, 2026
- Giustinianea Day: June 1st, 2026
- Italian Republic Day: June 2nd, 2026
- Patron Saints' days (according to the city where lessons are held; e.g. Padua 13th June, Treviso 27th April, Rovigo 26th November, Vicenza 8th September)
- Summer holidays (August 8th to August 18th, 2026)

Summer exam session: June 15th - July 18th, 2026
Extra exam session: August 19th - September 19th, 2026
Extra exam session for students who are about to graduate: May 11th-17th and November 3rd-7th, 2026
